Salisbury House

With its rich history, Grade II listed Salisbury house occupies the south west quadrant of Finsbury Circus. The building dates back to 1901, it was one of the first purpose-built office buildings in London and vaults were once a holding area for international jewellery dealers. Now it houses a wide variety of companies and businesses. Bluebottle has for a number of years worked closely with Workspace to incrementally bring back character and grandeur to the building while inserting a freshness and vibrancy sought after by our clients' customers.

Project Name

Salisbury House

Location

London

Project Size

200,000 Sq Ft

By retaining the original features of the building and their patina, such as the glazed wall tiles, terrazzo & timber floors, steel fireplaces, ornate balustrades, sash windows and interior mouldings, we want to celebrate the original design and work to complement this through our interior scheme and rich colour palette.

The events space offers flexible conference rooms with high tech AV and acoustics seamlessly integrated for an optimal meeting experience.

Each area has been carefully designed as room settings, with a layering of finishes, furniture art and accessories giving a sophisticated and hospitable impression.

Common Parts

The gradual refurbishment of the common parts is an ongoing project that Bluebottle has been involved with since 2019.

Reviewing each area, we reworked the interior architecture heavily within the framework of the building to allow for more suitable layouts, providing dedicated breakouts, tea-points, phone booths and toilets to support the customer offices on each floor.

Each area has been an discovery of different original features that has been brought back to life and incorporated within the scheme. The partitioning is bespoke and developed to give a sense that it is part of the building fabric.
