China Works is a project based in a historically prestigious Southbank House former known as Royal Doulton’s principal office. We were happy to propose a stylish and modern, yet classic interior solution while still retaining the charming historical exterior.
Bright upholstered and timber furniture pieces, warm colour palette, vivid carpet insets, elegant lines of the black-sprayed metal frames, chic and contemporary wallpaper choices, trendy industrial light fittings, fluted glazed panels – these are some of the proposed interior design components that assisted in shaping and forming a cohesive modish look, while still allowing the remaining historical interior elements, such as exposed brick wall and wall panelling to shine through.
Some of the key interior features include a custom Parallel Lava tiled one-piece servery, ceramic plate wall installation and a cohesive graphical language with elegant neon signage and wall art running throughout the whole building.
Working alongside Frost Architects we, Bluebottle, designed the front of house, reception, cafe, club and meeting room spaces.
