The transformation and renovation of an old bonded warehouse near the Oxo Tower, for one of our key commercial clients. The scope of works included a new entrance facade, leading to the main reception, restaurant and through to the meeting room suites. To create the desired open-plan environment and maximise space, internal structural alterations to thick masonry walls were undertaken, and an extension was designed to expand into the existing car park. A new commercial kitchen was installed for the restaurant, with fully coordinated mechanical and electrical services.
The materials palette included a striking combination of a power-floated concrete and rough-cut sawn timber floor, while Carrara marble was used to form a twelve-metre-long multifunctional reception and bar counter feature. At the entrance, a full-height feature wall formed of vertical slices of solid oak and mirror create the illusion of depth, with the adjacent wall finished in a colourful mixture of glazed lava tiles. The glazed tiles re-appear within the meeting room suites, providing a clear link between areas across the design. As well as the ground floor works, a full renovation to all common areas, including WCs and showers, was completed throughout the complex.
