Our long-term client Artemis asked us to update and reorganise their office space, which we first designed over 10 years ago. Over time, the client outgrew their existing floors and took on additional floors within their existing building. Our brief was to give them a modern office with a club like feel and a better flow between the floors. We opened up the structural slabs and inserted two staircases; the first connects the ground and first floor meeting suites with a metal and fused glass feature screen and the second connects the offices from the first to the third floor. In addition, we also designed a generous kitchen and agile working lounge on the second floor, along with traditional fully panelled library and media rooms.
The project is highly detailed with bespoke joinery; high level finishes used throughout and carefully selected furniture; by using different lighting solutions we managed to give the design a further depth and sense of space. The curation of the existing and growing art collection became the main feature in the space. The use of materials such as the wide oak planks, coloured glass and rich timbers for the joinery with the selection of the furniture, is what made this a timeless design solution.
